2009 President’s Award Spotlight
Carrier Corp. proudly presents the 2009 President’s Award to Specialty Heating & Cooling, Inc. This is their second year in a row winning this prestigious award. Through their professionalism and high level of customer service, Specialty Heating & Cooling, Inc. truly exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding contractor.
Norm and Sheri Matheis started the company then named Specialty Heating & Fabrication, in 1985. Prior to that Norm worked for eight years in sheet metal fabrication and system installation of heating and cooling systems. Norm also spent four years in Local 16’s sheet metal and apprenticeship program. Today, he continues to be very hands-on and leads SHC with a zealous desire to surpass the needs of our customers by making their experience a memorable one.
Specialty Heating & Cooling, Inc. is a very diverse company specializing in Residential Retro-fit solutions for all vintages of homes; starting with an in home assessment, working selectively with custom or small project Home Builders and Remodelers, specializing in Geothermal Heat Pump installations, and providing replacement and service for light commercial applications. We are in good standing with the Home Builders Association, the Remodelers Association, have an A+ rating with the local BBB and work closely with many local chambers, utilities and Energy Trust of Oregon.
The professional team of Installers at SHC specializes in customized sheet metal fittings for that perfect heating and cooling system installation. After the installation, we have a great Service Team who will keep that equipment running at its peak performance through our Energy Savings Agreement program.
